Why don't you go to Africa (not a racist comment)? People keep glamorizing Europe as if it's the only vacation resort. Africa has some cool places, unless you believe everything you see on TV.

Not to be racist but you might stick out like a sore thumb in Russia. They might be more racist to you than in america. Edit: the second they find out that you are american, is the second you put a bullseye on your self, they don't take kindly to americans.

Come on, Russia's not even the nicest country anyway; in fact, they're still struggling from the mess of the Cold War. I agree with Jamal L; Europe is NOT all it's cracked up to be (there are nice places there, but there are also very poor countries/places e.g. Eastern Europe) and there ARE nice places to visit besides countries in that continent.

I have never been to Russia, but a lot of the Russians who live in California certainly seem to be racist, sexist, homophobic, extremely under-educated, and for some reason have freakishly large ego's. I can only assume it is just a taste of how things might actually be in Russia.

Don't listen. You can go to russia, germany, anywhere you please. There are dark complected Europeans and light complected Africans, don't listen to the generalizations. They are mostly misled notions of "purity" put forth by ignorant, color/class bigots.

Black people do live here (not many, but they do), there are even a few successful Russian+black people) . What's the deal? It's like any other place: some people are racists, tyhe majority are not. To Kimberly: that's the reason they move, educated and nice people are successful here (as they'd be anywhere else), but those whom you mentioned aren't and they think it's because of the country, but not themselves.

There are alot of nice people in Russia but if you go atleast go with a couple of that can fight because there are alot of nazi russians over there that will just beat you because you are black I am hispanic and I went there and they really didn't like me that much it was a good thing that I went with some other people because if I went alone I bet they would have jumped me like some other people said it a nice place to visit but they got probloms like they got everywhere in the world plus there are many other awsome places to visit besides russia

Don't go to Russia, I live in the states, but I have lived in Russia for 3 years. They hate black people, they are very openly racist and violent towards black people, A thousand times more racist then the US is. Let me tell you, there are a lot of racist people in the states, but its nothing compared to Russia, Russians are people you don't want to piss off or mess with, especially when they are drunk. I have lived in 6 countries and I have found that Australia is the most easy going and least racist place to live.

trust me, I grew up in Europe and many ignorant am (not u necessarily) may not realize that BLACK PEOPLE LIVE THERE. it's a small amount, but I've seen blacks, asians, and arabs (not seen a hispanic yet). And for those blacks, they speak fluently in whatever language and I've seen black people on european tv.

No, In America you have rights as a black person. Over there in Russia, they do not care. There are not many black people there either. I read an article about African students getting attacked by skinheads.
