Whats it like to live in Russia

Whats it like to live in Russia?
I was wondering, whats it like living in Russia? The good side, and the bad side. I've heard things like St. Petersburg is better than Moscow, but from a person who's living in Russia, or has lived there, whats it like? Im American and I've thought of going to Russia some day....

Hi, to answer your question, you do not need to keep your wallet, people in Russia are not more criminal than at other places and if i compare NY and Moscow, Russia is the safer place. I;m German origin and live 2 years in moscow, it became my country and on monday i finished my contract here in Africa and will go back home.

I could write a book on this subject. If you want to know answer, go live in Russia for some time. For an American, I would suggest seeking residence in Chita (especially the surrounding villages and not the actual city), people in this area are very fond of Westerners. Trust me, you will be welcomed with bright shining smiles and everyone will want to be your friend.

St. Petersburg is a GORGEOUS city! It's more calm than Moscow. it depends on what you prefer. If you enjoy the big city life like NYC, you'll like Moscow better.. if you like a calmer style of life, definitely go to St. Pete's.

Well, Russia is an amazing, beautiful place. For the "cupcake" girl, obviously you've never been to Russia and let yourself be lied to by jealous, prejudicial americans. Russia is no more dangerous than New York. I'm sure you've heard that Russians are very mean and brittle people. This is not true at all. Of course, they are a bit brusque to strangers they don't want to talk to; but most Russians, especially the men, are very courteous. You can even see this in america. You should most defiantly go and see Russia. You should try spending some time in both the cities and the suburbs. Trust me, you won't regret going!

It is really terrible life in this country. Most of the citizens already asked for the green cards in some other countries and wanting to leave. The debits are mounting, the car industry is crying, the real estate is death and recession slipping to depression is on the government Christmas list. Ooh shoot, which country am I talking about. I thought it's the USA. Forgive an old woman.
