Its alot like america, if you live in a City, but things are more expecise, so if you have a bad job. its almost impossible to surivive. but there are soo many benifits. like once you have a child, you are paid for at least the first year while you just stay and watch them. but if you live in the forest area.... its a really though life, my parents always explain how hard it was. i think its way better that they moved to america.

well, i lived from 1978 to 1991, and now go back regularly compared to 80's and now, it's different...although i have very great memories of my childhood, and kind of surprised at the impression of USSR of the 80's people have here... now, it's not bad actually...contrary to what people think of Putin, he made life better for ordinary russians (that's what my family and friends are)...salaries are paid on time, pension, inflation has gone down, value of the ruble stabilized...my cousin from Moscow has been to more countries in Europe than I :-) it's a fascinating country, with a very old, and rich history (Moscow by itself is over 800 years old)

Well I'm irish so I've lived in Ireland and Russia only. I've lived in Russia for 4years now and its a gorgeous place! I like it a lot better than Ireland. I live in Nizhniy Novgorod and its beautiful here.

So i live in Russia since 1989,in 1990-th it was real shit,but my parents had money and i did not see this bad time in my childhood,just drunker president on TV set,so now people have realy good life,because just 14% from all population are poor.Now for women is good weather,govt pay and will grow this benefits over 14.000$ per a second child and govt pay 3 years to women if she need to be with babby and cant go on job.So salary in ~40 regions over 1.000$ per a month in others depend from location(Caucasus 400$ maximum) in other region from 600$ to 1000$ like in my city of Rostov-on-Don...

For the vast majority its a hard life. Low income, rising prices and poor health care.
