I would also like to maybe buy/adopt a miniature pig. I am really into exotic animals, all the pets I had, I always spent a lot of time with them so I'm not buying them to play around and show-off for a few months and then throw them away. I just need to know what if i need special documentation to bring exotic animals to Russia and back a few times a year. I would also like to maybe buy/adopt a miniature pig. I mean I realize I will need special documents, but I would like to know specific details, like how long the documents last, and if its even legal to travel with gliders and pigs. I assume pigs are more common than gliders and probably aren't hard to get documents for, but gliders are more exotic, and aren't even considered domesticated. Plus I heard you need an electronic chip implant in the pet to travel with it and I don't see how a glider can get inserted with one. I would appreciate as much detail as possible.

Yes you will need special documentation for any pet, exotic or not. And if you get gliders, get two. They need a friend.

I am certain that the cost of the excess baggage, import permits, documents, and quarantines with both countries (USA will require it also) will very quickly exceed the cost of buying two of the animals - one in each country - and leaving them there.
