I want to live in Russia, how do I go about this

I want to live in Russia, how do I go about this?
I don't want to live there now, but I plan to go there in seven to ten years. Why so long? I'm still in high school, I'm still studying the language and I can't say it right yet. Is it okay to live there without changing my nationality? How do I live there? [jobs, house, do I need to marry someone] I'm aware that Russia isn't exactly a perfect country, but really there is no perfect country. I'm in love with the culture and the people and its history, its art.. everything is just so interesting. History seems to be so.. alive in that country. I don't want to be one of those clueless people though. I can't live on my parents money forever so I want to get a job and a place there. Is it better to live in Alaska and just.. cross from time to time?

Well, I think that first you must learn the language well, and then go to Russia. Find a good friend from Russia and already on arrival you will be able to find house and work....

If you crossed from Alaska you would cross into Siberia which isn't quite the russia you are thinking of.

Hun trust me you don't want to live in Russia if you live in America. Russia is amazing country im from there but life is harder there.. I'd suggest visiting for a few weeks every year than living there. Life is different there, people are different. They are welcoming and nice, but it's all about the money there not that it's not in every country but everything and everyone there is bought. You will notice it if you live there for a while. it's tough in both countries. But it's harder in Russia, I lived in both countries. My parent's and grandparents lived there, lots of my fam still lives there. It's just my opinion that life is easier for me in the U.S. The things I have here I would of never be able to afford in Russia. & At least here where i "live to work" I can afford stuff and live a happy life, unlike in Russia. You are either an unemployed alcoholic or rich making money not legally.

girl, i have the same exact problem as you do. im still in high school but im planning on moving to russia. im russian myself, and some of my family just came from there; they HATE it here. they want to go back. im a fluent russian speaker. i could teach you some stuff haha. email me (its on my page). russia is a very amazing place to live so dont listen to all these other people. russia is gorgeous and russians are very proud of their country. its so rich in its culture. i guess ill see you in russia in the future :) oh and the girl above "release me" ^^ ... i have something to say. its quite the opposite. in AMERICA its all about money. here, you dont work to live.. you live to work. literally. plus the tax here is HORRIBLE. in russia theres no tax. plus, even if you buy off your home in america, you still have to pay for the land because the land is the governments and at ANY time they could take your home away from you. but in russia, you dont pay monthly. you pay once, and the house is YOURS. no one can ever take it from you.
