you will definetely need a visa as well as your kids. The usual tourist visa allows you to stay in the country up to 90 days, then if you come to work there - you'll get a work visa - allows you to stay up to 6 months - then you have to renew it. Check with the Rusian Embassy or Consulate near the place you live. Or go to their website - all the visa issues are explained clearly there (including the costs and time frames).

No Problem. Just take you and your three kids, go to the airport and when you go through immigration just tell them you want to live and work in Russia the immigration officer will smile at you and wish you the best of luck. You can stay as long as you want. ARE YOU CRAZY? Name a country you don't need a visa. If a US CItizen needs a passport to go to Canada you think your going to move three kids to the Former Soviet Union without a Visa? And By the way Tourist visas are expensive like $140 for one month stay and you will need a sponsor that will cost more
