Pose yourself a question. HOw long would a Russian survive in England speaking only Russian?

It's not necessary for your visa, but day-to-day life is difficult without lots of help from Russian friends. You have a few years, why not start learning now.

Go to a preparatory course at any Russian university. It will take you one year to learn Russian decently.

yes! you may get away from learning english at first in U.S, but not in russia. the younger generation is learning english, but still, not everyone is fluent. it will take a while, but if you're determined you will succeed. good luck!

Yes you can. Why would you need to know language to live somewhere? Buying stuff doesn't require knowing language etc. And yet many Russians have basic knowledge of English. Even if you just provide them advanced courses of English - you will be a reach man, as everyone wants to know English in Russia. And indeed you will easily find friends who know English. After some time, step by step, you will know their native language too.
