do snakes live in russia?
we where in class and we had 2 say one interesting fact so i said snakes don't live in russia and my teacher disagrees with me so she told me to look it up and so now i have to figure out do snakes live in russia and my answer is still NO but i still have to "look it up"

Of course you should look it up - that's what school is all about. I googled it and found a number of different pages you could look at. But your teacher is right, there are snakes in russia.

There are a lot of different snakes in Russia, though probably the most widespread snake is the non-venomous grass snake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grass_snake There are quite a lot of venomous snakes as well, but usually snakes are not a problem in Russia, though it is depends on the region and the specific place they are live (could be forest, near the water, etc)

Snakes live every where except Antarctica and Ireland. But their are none in Antarctica because of the cold. Ireland the snakes were killed and removed by people. Russia may be cold but the farthest snake that lives the farthest north is about 200 miles above the artic circle. And that is a snake that is native to russia.

Yes. Snakes and vipers live in Russia. There many snakes on the south of russia, and not so many on the northern parts. They likes stony soil.
