Did anyone live through the Cold War (or World War II) in Russia

Did anyone live through the Cold War (or World War II) in Russia?
That sounds wrong. Not like - did anyone survive, I mean like, did anyone on this board live in Russia at the time (specifically Moscow). If so, did you ever have to go to the Metro for shelter?

The view that the underground - this is the main shelter in Moscow, by mistake. By bombshelter include only station deep-laid, they are provided with adequate infrastructure. At the beginning of 2000 in Moscow there were more than 7,000 bomb shelters in operation total. For example. Thanks to the shelter during the years of WWII in Moscow because of bombings killed 1327 people. In London, much more (about 43 000 victims).

The metro/subway was used as a bomb shelter in WWII and a few of newer stations were set up as emergency shelters for Cold war, though never actually used for that purpose (few were used for practice)
