would it be safe to live in russia

would it be safe to live in russia?
i would like to work in australia or russia after college POSSIBLY Africa. however i was reading a site i was given in a previous question and read something rather disturbing involving the "Slavic Union" attacking "mongrels" it said in april it was acknowledged as a group of extremists and in june declared voluntary dissolution of the organization (this year) im not planning to get a job there right off the bat however when and if i do i dont want to be attacked .... i am not russian nor african american i am a majority of races mixed together. (native american indian, dutch, spanish, irish, Norwegian.) as you may or may not guess i am extremely pale. what would be the dangers in living in russia?

absolutely not. people run around shooting randomly and robbing everyone on the street you have to stay locked up indoors. and those fires this summer? Don't believe what they tell you, it's like that ALL year long the country is just one big FLAMING BALL OF FIRE

While Russia is indeed somewhat dangerous, and has a low standard of living, it is a common misconception (see above) that people run around killing each other at a whim. Though it is sad, Russia has fallen a lot since the dissolution of the Soviet rule. There is still a lot of feedback from it which has lead to Russia being in a continual state of political reform, corruption and an extreme separation between the rich and the poor. However, Moscow is an amazing city, and there are plenty of other interesting areas in Russia. It is more dangerous than most other places, not more dangerous than Africa (particularly south Africa, especially if you are white) but more dangerous than Australia (although that is also somewhat debatable, a lot happens in places like Melbourne,Sydney and Brisbane, crime is fairly high and constant for such a developed country) On moving to Russia, if you have money, very easy, you can just bribe the right people and wont even need a visa, technically. But unless you are streetwise and very capable you might find it difficult to live in Russia, particularly if you don't speak Russian. But you would fit in in Russia more than in Africa, that's for sure.
